Help with weird e-mails??

Hi All
Can anyone help. Every morning when I log onto my subscribe@freecybermag.com e-mail address I get about 8 -10 of the following e-mails. Basically I have a subscribe form on my web site but the form ususally don't send me the following e-mails I am getting in that format. Can someone explain what is happening.

I would also like to add that all fields on every e-mail is different except for the e-mail address in BCC which is consistent.

yup - thats a spamming robot that makes use of your mail script to mail out spam.

It can be stopped with a small script to strip bogus headers out of the submission to toe script.

The spammer generally does not post through your subscribe form but direct to the script the subscribe form posts to.

Aha. So it's possible I can stop this?? Also does the e-mail address in the BCC show who this is from as I will send them a right nasty e-mail?

I wouldn't recommend sending a reply to these emails.

If it is a robot then it will be random and nothing personal, but if you send an email then you are stoking up the fire and your email address could be bombarded. It is not worth risking your main email address just to have a rant.

I had to shut an email address down last year because of spam emails bombarding the system!

It got so bad that it crashed one of Rob's servers :oops:
