Hi Tony,

Yey, another FS person... :) I am always a bit shocked that there are not more mortgage brokers and IFA's on here.

My background is in financial services marketing and PR so it is nice to see another FS person on here.

Hope you get loads out of this forum, and if I can ever be of help, give me a shout.

Tony,

Can anyone introduce business to you or do they need to have some kind of qual?

I am always happy to accept referrals from any source. The hardest thing to in my industry is to speak to people who actually want a mortgage now. So if someone can refer an interested party to me then that is great.

If the referrals will be ongoing like they normally are from accountants or estate agents then I set up a formal introducer agreement which both parties sign. If the referral is more a one off then it is a much more informal arrangement. But you don't need any qulaifications to refer business to me, the only stipulation is that the person your refer to me must consent to us contacting them.

Have I explained myself ok?

Please do, I am always happy to accept potential business from all sources.

Another thing to remember is that I will always provide compensation to people who send me business as well as referring business their way when I can.

I put tips and advice in my journal to help people buy and sell businesses, then link it to my sales site. You will be really handy for my site :D

Thanks
