All,

What is the easiest way to appoint a co-Director. Say, for example, I was the only Director, and I wanted to appoint a friend with X amount of shares... is there are set way this must be handled? Or is an official letter signed by both parties fine?

Thanks,

Mark

They are two distinct and seperate things.

1) appointment of a director.
Straightforward complete form 288a and send to companies house

2) Share Issue.

If the shares are already in existance (Say you currently have 100 shares and you wish to transfer 50 then complete a stock transfer form using category L. Transfer at nil value for which there is no stamp duty payable, make the entries in the company register and notify companies house via the annual return when the time comes.)

If you need to issue new shares use form 88(2) and send to companies house.

Both of these need to be minuted

Many thanks Alpha,

I'm guessing I just ring Companies house for the relevant forms?
