View Full Version : 7 digit bank account - which end to add the zero?

I have a Lloyds/TSB bank account which only has a 7 digit account number.

Someone tried to set me up on their system so as to make a BACs payment to me but couldn't because my account number isn't 8 digits.

This has happened before and I'm pretty sure I just have to add a zero on one end, can't remember which end though

Anyone know which end to add the zero?

Doesn't matter, just found it,

You add the zero at the beginning.

It's usually at the beginning, paticularly with Lloyds, but don't quote me on that:)

and all a waste of time - as OP had answered their own question... nice to know we're all on the ball though - well played!
