A very basic seo question.

When I registered domain batraventures.co.ukI edited Meta Tags and Meta Description.

Meta Tags "batraventures.co.uk,batra ventures uk limited, batra ventures, batra ventures uk ltd, batra ventures uk limited, batra ventures, batra ventures uk ltd"

Meta Description batraventures.co.uk,batra ventures uk limited, batra ventures, batra ventures uk ltd"

This site comes in google when you search for Batra Ventures.

I then registered another domain batragroup.co.uk I edited the Meta Tags in the same way but still doesnt come up in google.

Meta tags batragroup.co.uk,batragroup.co.uk,batra group,batra group of companies,batra uk,batragroup.co.uk,batra group,batra group of companies,batra uk"

Meta Description batraventures.co.uk,batra ventures uk limited, batra ventures, batra ventures uk ltd .batraventures.co.uk,batra ventures uk limited, batra ventures, batra ventures uk ltd"

batragroup.co.uk still doesnt come up in google. I dont have any clue about seo. Any help much appriciated.

batraventures.co.uk was registered on 09 Oct 2009
batragroup.co.uk was registered on 06 Jun 2010

Is time a factor. Should I wait for a few more weeks before I start complaining?

Batra Group isn't indexed in Google, have you submitted any links to it?

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=XT5&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&channel=s&q=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.batragroup.co.uk%2F&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

You should submit links, and sign up to google webmasters. You can't honestly believe you can complain to Google for not indexing? Not like they charge to be in the searches. Just gotta be patient

edit:
Your site has no content, so no reason why they will index it, it's not got a purpose and nothing to contribute to google.

Google will have found a link and followed it.. You either have to have a proper website built or just be patient

Lol if you reg'd it on 06 th of june and didnt drop any links anywhere that is why it didnt get found.

I have had sites indexed in 2 days theres tricks to you can do to speed up the process.

The link you drop'd in this forum should get it indexed fairly quick now if not straight away.

You can also submit it http://www.google.com/addurl/ to google. But as you have drop'd the link in this post i wouldnt submit it now as it could slow the process down.

I suggest NOT using addurl, almost always slows down indexing. Just be found through a link. You might also want to exclude fileshare folder from being indexed. Look at 'site:www.batraventures.co.uk/' - there are some documents on display to all the world which look like they should be internal use only... In robots.txt: Disallow: /fileshare/

How do I change it? I dont have a clue.

I just want the company name to be found.

Now how do I beat the domain "batra group [dot] com"?

My .co.uk comes after that?

Interesting.
Do you have any evidence of this?

Disallow: /fileshare/

Do a search on robots.txt so you understand what the following does.

Create a text file 'robots.txt'

enter:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /fileshare/

upload to your root directory of your website.

No. Just experience.

Sorry about the double posting but the post editor seems screwed again...
