Anyone Sold to Pet-Stores???? (woof woof!)

Nothing whatsoever to do with my surfboards biz but I have an opportunity to get hold of a great product to sell in the pet market.

I'm planning to sell a few direct online but mainly through some of the major pet shops if possible

Anyone had any experience dealing with them? Any idea of mark-ups or good places to start? Pet-industry trade shows etc etc?

I used to manage a shop for one of the larger retailers - my advice would be to go direct to the buying department or try to get one of the nationals involved ie. sell wholesale to Pedigree/Spillers etc. If you need any contact details I can dig some out if you like.
