Settings -> Reading

Select static page at the top, rather than latest posts, and select the page you want to display.

Save. Job done.

I was about to reply, then I remebered I like my job too much :D

admin>settings>reading set the home page to the normal page you have created to act as home.

Alternately you can change it from within the settings area if it is in a subfolder etc.

I knew that was going to be the next question :D

Remove this line of code from header.php of the theme you're using

<a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>">Home</a>

Massey Massey Massey.....

The theme you're using already has the code for the homepage, so you need to rewrite the code.

I have a copy of Arjuna here, so will email you the code you need to edit.

Why is it useful to keep or make Wordpress as your homepage? Because I think a introductional page is the best way to keep or make as an homepage. Don’t you?

You are better off getting a theme that is easier to adjust than hack about with one if you don't know what you are doing.
