E.g ones like this

I want to use that and other logos such as NETGEAR, Linksys, D-LINK and Belkin but is it legal? I supply all those brands but I am not an official dealer.
Thanks.

Its not really a case of "It's not legal" its more that you will require (or at least you should do you best to get) permission to use copyrighted and trademarked material to avoid any potential legal action from them against you. Getting permission is certainly adviseable as a failsafe.

You will need to get permission from all of these companies or organisations first. 9/10 if it means they will get some promotion out of it they are happy to oblige BUT if you dont seek permission first you could end up in trouble.
Hope it helps.

Thanks, I worded the post badly, I know you need permision but I was just asking how easy it is to get it.
I will look into it. I may not bother as it is not crucial.

As I said, try and see. Explain what you are doing and put it to them that they will get some free advertising out of it an you never know.
Best of luck

If it is a standard such as the dolby digital DD symbol you can usually use it although you should follow their guidelines. If it is a company's branded system then check on their web site. If they don't have such logos and a specific policy statement about using them then I would not even bother - you'll spend half your life trying to get permission.

The question of whether you can use manufacturers' logos as an independent distributor depends on several factors:
1. Whether in the industry in question the manufacturer's logo is seen as the badge of a franchised dealer - the situation is more restrictive for example in the motor industry than in consumer electronics for example.
2. What the individual manufacturer's policy is - for example, Rolls-Royce are more restrictive than Fiat.
I'd suggest you browse around and see what other people do before approaching manufacturers.

What professional qualifications do you have?
You can use the Microsoft logo if you are a Certified Professional, The BCS logo if you are a member, Prince2 if you are qualified etc.
