Hi everyone,
I'm researching a new idea for mobile content service. Grateful if anyone can advise me what technology/applications available in the market which can deliver pictures to a mobile phone. The digital pictures are in jpeg or other formats.
Do I need to know any specific programming to do this?
Thank you for all advice in advance,
Faizi

Hi,
I have written a couple of these from scratch.
Do you want to just deliver an item via wap or do you actually want it sent as mms?
Both are easy to do, however you have to write some nice code to prep the image for each phone its going to.
Also, depending on the content, you may wish to wrap in DRM tpo prevent it being forwarded if its a content product.
Feel free to PM me.

Hi Crus,
Thank for your reply. You must be an expert. What kind of programming that you do for your mobile contents?
I'm thinking of sending the picture messages from phones to phones and also from PC to phones. Not sure about WAP as I never use one before. Plus, I thought WAP is still not popular these days due to over-promise by mobile operators before.
Is there any solution that can send the picture to all phones? i.e. maybe a common standard?
Yup, thanks for reminding me about the DRM (digital right management, I think)

I have built two ringtone systsems , one of whcih delivered content for a lot of people including Alta Vista, Emap etc etc.

A lot of content is still delivered via wap, ie downloaded to the phone. This does not involve using any WAP features such as decks etc but just used the WAP layer to transfer the content to the phone.

I think youre leaning towards MMS and some kind of mobcasting(.co.uk) service where a single phone can contact multiple without it being a direct message?
Please feel free to PM me to discuss if you wish.
