Hi all

I run an online business selling bridal accessories and I'm considering joining a monthly membership site that allows me access to training information to better an online business such as traffic generation, marketing etc.

Would I be able to class this as an expense?

Thanks

Don't see why not - assuming it's wholly and exclusively for business purposes.

Training expenses are a strange animal.

If you are thinking of becoming self employed and go on a course in order to do so, the expense of the course is not allowed as it has not been incurred wholly and exclusively in the course of your business. (on the flimsy excuse that you have no business for it to be in the course of).

If, however, you are already self employed and the course is to enhance or expand an existing skill then it is allowed.
