Hi friends,
I want to order a rare collection of cd's from the US, but don't know much about importing,

the cost including delivery will cost $300 us dollars, how is import tax charged, does someone send a bill, after the products arrives or do I collect the items from somewhere?, if you sould fill me on how things will be charged and what the percentage will be for the tax it would be good.

many thanks.

depends because usually what happens is when it is getting shipped out the customs and excise usually phone you telling you that you have to pay so much tax on the product usually 17.5% but could be more i have known it to happen to a couple of people and they ended up with nothing because they could not afford to pay more on what they have already paid it was a redicuolous amount
nearly like the same price as what you bought item, for

watch what you are doing when importing things into uk you could get stung
