Ways to accept secure monthly payments

I've been contacted numerous times in the past few days from potential ecommerce clients asking can they pay in instalments as an e-commerce store is a pricey job.

What way could I do this securely? Would it be alot of hassle having to chase people for money etc as I am a freelance.
