I have a wireless laptop and a printer that can be wireless as well. How do I get my laptop to connect to my printer without plugging in the lead?

The laptops version of wireless will be Wi-Fi, but as for what the printer is? Most wireless printers are usually infrared or bluetooth.
To be able to offer any suitable answers, the model numbers of both products are needed, or at the very least, information about what type(s) of wireless each product is equipped with.

The printer is a Canon MPC200
The laptop is a Toshiba Equium A60

if so, I see no mention of bluetooth or other wireless capabilities
