View Full Version : Free Charity Website Creating
WebCreator

Hello,
We at Hunts Web Designs support absolutely ANY charity worldwide.
By doing this, we have to create some sort of "Website offer" to Charities - just to show our support!
So, we have come up with the following...
If you and your Charity can find a cPanel host (hopefully there are free offers to you from very generous people!). We will create your entire website free!
If you want a Wordpress script as your homepage, we will give you that! If you want a contact form sent to your inbox - we will do that! Just because we support ALL charities.
We're just a growing company (that has just started). So aswell as helping out a Charity, we also get to add another website to our portfolio!
Please PM me if you're interested. We must also get your Charities ID and the rest before anything is discussed - just so we know you're real :)
Thanks,
Ryan

I would love to have as many Charities to create websites for.
Please (anyone reading!) bare in mind this DOESN'T apply to Businesses etc. :-)

Just to bump this thread, and hopefully get some more takeups of this very kind offer from WebCreator.
We're more than happy to provide free (or heavily discounted) hosting in conjunction with this - http://www.vidahost.com/non-profit-and-charity-hosting. I'm sure other cPanel hosts do the same thing too.
A very generous offer from you WebCreator - give me a shout if you want me to pimp that offer on vidahost.com

Just to give this thread more "spice".
If the above hosts allow free and unlimited FTP Transfer, then I guess there's no problem!
We will create a website for ANY charity!
We also have a new company site :)
I know it's slightly off topic, but for web design company with no portfolio (at least by looking at your own website), do you not think the slogan "Behind every great website is hunts web designs" is a bit much? It could certainly be construed as misleading. Also, there is no such word as "maintainment" as per your footer, did you mean "maintenance"? And I would recommend having someone take a look at your website copy, some of it is unclear and does not make sense.
I hope this is some help!

Thanks for the help - much appreciated!
We're actually getting someone to read through it and re-do the content soon, so that's already on our agenda :)
Thansk for the help tho!

Itīs nice you are doing websites for free for charities, but I would recommend working on your keyword relevancy ratio first - your own site needs a lot of work SEO wise - your page rank is 0 and you have 0 inbound links.
If you would like some help, send me a msg through the forums.
But for a start try the website grader tool for hints. Then work on additional content, perhaps target your local area (easier for SEO), ensure images have alt text, you have submitted sitemaps to yahoo, google etc, and setup a 301 redirect via htaccess.
I think you have a lot of potential - I do charity websites too, but at a huge discount, but for any referrals for websites through that site, I put 100 pounds to a that charity. Maybe you could do the same thing? Worth a shot.

Dear Ryan from Hunts Web design,
My name is Chris am I am the UK representative of a Ugandan NGO called Community Based Initiative for Rural Development (CBIRD). I used to live in Uganda, and my friend started up CBIRD a couple of years ago, it works with local schools, improving the resources available to them, increasing the number of teachers, rebuilding school buildings etc.
I started to help out whilst I was there, but now I am back in the UK, I want to set up a website for CBIRD to broadcast the amazing work they are doing. Your offer sounds very generous, and I would really appreciate it if you could get back to me if you are still interested in building charity websites. I wonder if possibly the representative of VidaHost would also consider providing CBIRD with free hosting?
Thank you all very much for your time, I hope that I will speak to you soon.
Best,
Chris Elliott

I'd also look into the fact I couldn't find a single capital letter anywhere on the site.
*Edit: Oo found some. Forget what I just said. I'm totally blind. I'm viewing the site in google chrome and the text in your banner gets dangerously close to the bottom (slightly annoying). Also under "website services" and "graphic services" the font looks a bit out of place (to..default). Only feedback I can give.*

If the OP, or anyone on this forum, is really serious about doing any pro bono work for charities, such as creating/replacing a website, I would recommend getting in touch with IT4C:
it4communities.org.uk
There are plenty opportunities to do worthwhile work, while increasing one's experience in the process.
