I am now in agony for the fifth day in a row as I have put my back out. Actually ... that is not strictly true, I am only in pain (not agony) when sitting at my desktop, leaning over, with my right hand on my mouse!!! The cause of the problem as I currently spent an average of 13 hours a day on my desktop.

Time has come to get away from my desk, get a life and be a bit more mobile, whilst still running my business!

So ... do any of you have a Blackberry as I am thinking that this may be the way forward? I have to have a mobile phone with me at all times, but really only need to see and send emails other than that.

Do any of you have any advice on this?

Kate

Hi Kate,

I run my whole life from my 9500 and regularly post on here from it!

Highly recommend, the WiFi access is just killer!

I was going to get a Blackberry, but wanted Wifi capabilities, so purchased an XDA Exec (http://www.my-xda.com/xdaexec.html). I can gladly advise you NOT to puchase one.

I have a 7100V and love the email ability.

But as a gadget freak I wish I could do more with it. I think a Sidekick would be better for me.

I was thinking of the new Blackberry 8700v which I can apparently have for about £150 for the handset then £50 per month all in for 350 mins talk time and up to 6 mb.

It seems quite a bit smaller than some of the other suggestions, but not being a techie person means that my understanding begins and ends at looks, price and colour!!!

I hadn't heard of any other the others suggestions, so please keep it coming.

Thank you.

Thats the one I have, its ok but not great and it has broken twice (been in repair for 6 (almost 7) weeks since I first got it in July) could just be that I have had a bad experience with them - alos don't go with T-mobile as their repair thing is a joke and means a lot of hassle!! Vodafone is definitely the way forward!

I am with Vodafone so that is handy - have been on the same contract since 93 - creature of habit - if it ain't broke don't fix it!!

I've got a p910i, which lets me check all my emails, etc when on the move - very useful. I've never tried a blackberry, I don't think they look very good though from an asthetic point of view

I've got a p910i

Just to clarify, is that a Sony Ericsson?

Yep it's a Sony Ericsson, great phone. I'd had it one year by xmas and it was time to upgrade. I couldn't find anything as good out there so I just got a Sony Walkman phone as a free upgrade and sold it : )

On a tangent did anyone watch the American Dad cartoon last night where they found Cheyneys blackberry!

LOL, brilliant!

My dad and sister both use Sony Ericsson Smartphones - I really fancy one myself as I don't like the look of the Blackberry.
