Customers don't know what to ask for.

Customers that don't know how to ask for what they want.

Customers that insist on using thier bad ideas, not trusting or repecting your talent and experience.

Customers that don't communicate or approve things in a timely matter.

I came across this article, how many of you guys agree to at least one of these points?

Agreed, to a degree. That is why we, as service/product providers, strive to identify what the customers want AND what they seek to achieve by the purchase of our product. From that information we can respond appropriately.

I don't mind the first two; after all, that is why they are coming to an 'expert' instead of doing it themselves.
3. is really irritating and I will attempt to convince them otherwise, but essentially, if they insist then it is their money!
4. Makes life extremely hard but I think we've probably all been guilty of it at one time or another.

I myself find this article true to some extent. I usually get customers who don't really know what they want but when they are asking me, I can tell that they are not completely satisfy with what they are asking for.

Customers are individual people, so cannot comment on any of the above. Everyone of them is different and you cannot put them in little boxes.

I've iced cakes in the past, which I thought looked horrible, you grit your teeth and do what the customer wants, or the customer may go somewhere that will.
