How important is it to have w3 validation in your website and a google sitemap?
Also , how do I do this?
Or who can do this for me?

Mark,
There's TONS of resources telling you how to do a sitemap on Google, just type in Create Google sitemap in www.google.co.uk
I used one on Travel Rants, not sure how effective it is without it, but I have 26,500 pages indexed in Google search results.
W3 validation, well Im not a web designer, so shouldn't comment, but personally, providing your website isn't stuffed with naff code, and each page is easily linked then it shouldn't make a bit of difference.

IMHO, the best thing about using valid XHTML/CSS on your site as opposed to tables, from an SEO perspective is that you will have a much improved text to code ratio. IE, more characters of useful text than unuseful code. Always a good thing from the search engines viewpoint.

I have just add a google sitemap :-)
And think that a validator would be a good move, if it does only good.

Mark,
Give me a shout if you'd like your site converted to full xhtml/css. I could also suggest a few SEO techniques aswell.
Cheers.
