meal allowance claim

How should i pay for / claim meal allowance expenses? I am the director ofa limited comapny. Do i just pay for the meal out of my own pocket then claim it against allowable expenses on my year end self assesment or claim it back through the company by withdrwaing an amont from the bank at the end of each month?
