So, google buzz, new social media platform, anyone played with it at all?

Have read the google blog post (http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/introducing-google-buzz.html) but not really being a gmail user or having any gmail contacts have struggled to get into it.

Anyone had any joy with it or any ideas how it can be used for marketing when I don't think I have a single customer with a gmail account.

Like to keep my finger on the pulse but struggling with this one!

It's a clone of Twitter basically, bit pointless imo but there if you want to use it heheh.
It will pick out some of your tweets from Twitter automatically.

Not only that but it's only effective if they follow you.
It does have nested tweets/replies, which is good.
Other than that if you're already using Twitter I would give it a pass.

Yeah, that was kind of the idea I got. Maybe useful if you have a big gmail list but outside of that, a little bit useless.

I have my gmail address that was forced on me at some point but what professionals really use gmail?

Hmm, will have to wait and see on this one. :o)

I think you will find more than usual for Google Talk ;) As that was one of the IMs that could work outside of some organisations tight networks *cough* lol ;)

I use all manner of emails as sometimes the ones you normally use just don't get through sometimes ;) The only thing I can't remember is the bleedin passwords to all of em lol ;) I suppose that could be a good thing ;)

Yeah I use Google Buzz, along with every other network in existence, heh.

I guess it won't be worthwhile for many people, I've got a ton of contacts from Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, FriendFeed etc where decent articles get bounced about all over the place, I use it for gaining exposure for blog content more so than anything else though.

I dont really use this but, it is good to make some updates here. It will definitely get you with any people you want to add or buzz around.

Thanks
