Need help with domain redirects please

Hi there,

I have my main keyword as my domain name but have also bought 2 other domains which are other keywords in my niche which get good amounts of searches.

Can anyone tell me, if I purely point the 2 domains at my main site (rather than build seperate websites) will the domain name alone be enough to get a good ranking in Google,

OR

is it better to build a seperate site (fully optimised) which then drives traffic to the main site (which is at No1 in Google)

OR !!

should I build a mirror website of my main website as depending on who you speak to Google dont care too much about duplicate content these days!!

Simply re pointing a domain won't help you.

Complete waste of time. (and potentially dangerous as all the domains can be spidered)

Then you are speaking to the wrong people, as you will be wasting your efforts, and Google will smply strip out the duplicate urls from the SERP's. What is the point in having identical content for different keyphrases? How is that meant to work?
