Hi All:

I'm endevouring to learn just enough so that I can maintain the testimonials section of my website, so I don't have to call on my designer every time.

Managed to update the page fine, but would like to be able to make links in the testimonial page open in a NEW window/page rather than "re-using" the current page.

Is there another command that does the same as

"Name ("")"

but launches domain.com in a new window?

Hi Peter,

Yes there is..

your domain (http://www.yourdomain.com)

It's the target=blank bit that makes the difference

Hope this helps,

Rob

Peter

I've seen your site before and it looks good. Once I have some spare time I'll check it out with my network. Do you have a affilaite page to increase your sales?

Hi Rob:

Thanks so much - just tried it and it worked like a dream!

Amazing what you can do when someone with the know-how points you in the right direction. Spent a hour last night on the Internet trying to find the answer!

Hi Lisa:

Thanks for your comments on my site. I'm researching affiliates at the moment, in the meantime we have a simple mechanism for identifying referrals and rewarding customers who recommend our software - more than a third of sales now come via referrals which is really nice.

We're a very technical software company and learning marketing, sales and PR as we go along...

Best Regards, Peter

As a nicer experience for your browsers you can use target="display" rather than = blank.

It opens up a new window, but rather than opening up a new window for each and evey testimonial they click on, the clicked on testimonials will all open in the same window.

So, if I go and click on 5 testimonials, I've only got one extra window open. It just makes for a nicer experience for me as a browser.

Definitely use the idea above from David

It is known that users can become very annoyed at finding multiple pages open and you do not want that to reflect on your site.
