Hi all,
I have sent a few PM's in the past few days but had no replies, I doubt I am being ignored beause all of them were potential business.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks

Calv - are they sitting in your outbox?
If so they haven't been opened by the recipients yet.

Hi,
They are not in my outboox, I assume this would indicate that they have been read?
Thanks

You mean you did give me that £100,000 contract? Oh, thank goodness ;)

I appear to be having a similar kind of problem where it says I have a message and when I click its not there. Luckily I saw the message author and contacted them to re-send the message.
There does appear to be a time delay. May all well be my computer and slow connection

No it's not that Jon. All the UKBF information you see, including PMs, has been compiled from data on the server (except perhaps for some images which are pulled in from other servers) and so should appear when you refresh the browser. So PMs are not accessed from your memory or disk like your ISP email account, they are more like webmail. If there is a time delay, there must be some other explanation.

I do have to refresh my browser to see if the PM window pops-up. Anyway, I do find UKBF to be slow compared with other forums and sites. Thought it was my connection. Can't wait to return to the UK and have a more powerful connection

Perhaps that part of the program which deals with writing PM data to accounts is only run every so often, rather like the postman only comes every so often to deliver snail mail. If there are a lot of PMs being written, this would be more efficient than having the program run every time someone writes a PM.

In my original post, the messages I expected to recieve back were from several days, not munites so server lag isnt the case. Anyway, I recieved 5 today ! People must be reading this ! Only one to go !
