Opportunity for me ....comments please

In relation to my previous post about hire of baby goods etc, i have just had contact from a manufacturer regarding a piece of baby equipment that they are looking for a sole outlet for in terms of hiring. They already have 4 outlets for selling the product but they want someone to set it up for someone to offer a complete hire service for the item.

Should i consider this or be wary ???

Depends what it is and what the deal is. You should be wary (careful) of any new business contract.

Well, it would be on a supply to me basis at 50 of retail which is around £80 per unit. I would then rent out at £20 per month. There are a couple of companies doing this but this is a relatively new high tech machine that outclasses those on the market at the moment. I just don't want to miss out on a good opportunity.
They would then give me the guarantee of being the sole uk hire agent but i would be responsible for promoting it and building the website etc.
They would link to me from there webiste though.

Hi, if it is a new machine that outclasses the current one, I would say go for it! Research the company you would be dealing with, and get a really good solicitor who will check out the contract at first though!
