Has anyone any idea what it would cost to develope an on-line accounting clone similar to Freeagent or even a standalone software package with similar features.
Serious enquiry as have spotted a huge gap in the market.

Hi Robert,
You can buy pre-built clones for many popular website formats, but I would assume this is more specialist. Looking at the set of features, I would say approx £3000-5000.

Thanks Nick.
Looking at the project again. I am thinking standalone software and realistically making a quick £100K by selling the IR or licencing. Any ideas ?

Caution - standard, generic answer being wheeled out! ;)
Depends heavily on complexity, range of features, amount of time required in visual design stage, etc - but probably "quite a lot". Have not used freeagent myself as we use KashFlow, but presumably fairly similar.
PM me if I can help with any info, but really couldn't give a more useful answer to the generic beyond normal piece of string numbers (e.g some quantity of thousands)! ;)
