This has just been sent to me from a friend, so I'm passing it on to others (apologies for the hurried cut and paste job!)

pass it on to everyone you know

Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet. You
>may receive an apparently harmless email with a PowerPoint presentation
>"Life is beautiful." If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY
>CIRCUMSTANCES, and delete it immediately.
>
>If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: "It is
>too late now, your life is no longer beautiful." Subsequently you will LOSE

>EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who sent it to you will gain access to

>your name, e-mail and password.
>
>This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL
>has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus software's are not
>capable of destroying it. The virus has been created by a hacker who calls
>himself "life owner."
>
>PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS EMAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS and ask them to PASS
>IT ON IMMEDIATELY.

Don't panic - it's a Hoax, and a fairly old one at that.... http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/life.is.beautiful.hoax.html

Sorry

Really  , does this mean I'm a complete muppet (again?) :D

I've passed it on to about 200 people!

It's only sad people like me who spend way to much time on the net that recognise these things as previous hoax's....
Look at it this way, there are now 200 more people on guard against this hoax then there were before - result!

Not if the purpose of the hoax is to spam people :)

email collection is such a (un) subtle business.

Please, don't forward this stuff on unless you remove every previous email and it only goes to one person at a time.

It's normally a safe bet that if an email end with the words:

PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS EMAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS and ask them to PASS
>IT ON IMMEDIATELY.

then it is a hoax.

Dave.

Thanks for nuthin' Claire B. How come I was not one of the 200? And I thought we we're getting a little 'franchise' relationship happening.

Well, you've lost me now!

Cheers, Nigel
