Morning all , i have recently launched an online hair extensions company, but i am now faced with the big battle to drive customers, as there are a lot of sites doing the same thing, i need to get the name out there, and i have launched 2 online advertising campaigns , but i think a shared link could be good , what do you think , also is anyone interested?, please message me if you are interested, as im not able to post address on here yet, we are focused on top quality hair extensions, the site has an edgy fashion conscious image, and we have focused on the newest type of hair extensions system. If you want exposure fast then google ppc, couple this with videos on youtube and other video sites (setup an account on tubemogul) , articles on EZA and other article sites, finding blogs/forums related to your niche and commenting on those.

articles on EZA and other article sites

What is EZA? When I google it, I come up with nothing. What other article sites are there? which ones are the most effective?

Hi,

You have to be careful with link sharing, you can't just link with anybody because it could be that they have been doing this with all sorts of sites and inadvertently you could become part of a link farm. This is very serious and could have serious repercussions for you.
Also the links have to be from a site that is more or less relevant to yours, I believe they have to be related to your industry.
IMO a well managed PPC campaign could work wonders for you.

As said reciprocal linking *could* be damaging although I think no-one really knows for sure the effect of having non relevant links to your site are (its being discussed at the moment on another thread).

I would look for short term from PPC and longer term from a steady, sustained link building plan. That said PPC can be effective long term anyway, I still use it on my main site even though its page 1 of the organics now for certain keywords.

Theres a fair few ways you can drive traffic to your website, HOWEVER, some of them can get you blacklisted on Google

It all depends on how much time and effort you want to put into your marketing, there are some free articles on our website (www ipcdesign com) that might help you :)

Hi,
To drive traffic onto your website the best think you need to do and learn is Search Engine Optimization. You’re site is still too “young” on the competitive market to go on PPC and paid advertising campaign if not optimized. Stop any sort of paid advertising you are doing and drive direct and targeted market onto your website using SEO it. After a couple of months then, yes with optimized keywords you can enter in the venture of PPC and make profit out of it. Doing PPC with non optimized tags is like fishing on a lake with a yacht, with all the fish being on the other side of the mountain.
try and apply cost free Web strategies using Blogs & Main website, and optimize long tailed keywords that are less researched on the web. Release you info onto the web with the format of Press release and articles and let search engines do the rest. I would give some more advice and links but unfortunately I’m not able to post any..
Hope I could help.
Take care.

It is not the easy job to drive the traffic for your website which is just new on the world wide web. You need to do some extra thing like PPC, If you can't run the PPC then I would like to prefer you to go for some campaign in the schools. It will give the popularity to your site.

Hi!
I read all the posts are all good but i would suggest that PPC is good for short time period because this option is costlier than the natural traffic and leads which generate using SEO method.
You opt for SEO and do below steps yourself or hire any professional SEO company to do the same aprox USD 100 a month

On - site Optimization which includes:-
• Intensive keywords Analysis
• Meta Tag Optimization
• Title Tag Optimization
• Alt Tag Optimization
• H1…H6 tags optimization
• W3C Validation
Off - site Optimization which includes:-
• One Way Link Building
• Reciprocal Link Building
• Three-way link building
• Content Fixing
• Directory Submission including paid up submissions.
• Article writing and submission to relevant websites, forums, blogs etc.
• Social Media Optimization & Book Marking.

I hope this could help you

Wouldn't the newness of the domain be a problem with SEO?

(Really not a problem with PPC.)

As for how to drive traffic, you need to start with an idea of (a) how much you're able to pay to get a client and, from that (and from your expected conversion rate), (b) how much you can afford to spend to get a visitor.

That'll give you an idea of whether or not different forms of advertising could be profitable for you.

Hope this helps,

Steve
