I've just received 2 overpayment notices for the business for PAYE and NICS.

The first is from 2005/2006 and is an overpayment of £15
but there is also a tax free incentive of £250 plus interest of £22
giving us a total of £280

The second is from 2006/2007 and is an overpayment of £83
with an extra tax free incentive of £250 and interest of £19
hiving us a total of £352

I can understand the overpayments, buy why are they giving us another £500+ ?

for filing on line - the incentives varied by years and are tax free.

Thanks,
should we have got this incentive even though we din't pay any PAYE or NICS?

I used to send in my tickets from the yellow book in those 2 years usually just with nill on them.

What is classed as the filing online? just the bit my accountant does at the end of the year, or the bit I do now where I enter nill on the HMRC website?

Cos they're charging small businesses too much ;)
Should have registered as a charity like some other well known businesses, bloody tax man!! ;)
