Hello, my name's Guy, I'm new here and I need some advice.
I've started a business with two colleagues. Basically we write and record personalised songs for special occasions. We've got it all set up ready for Valentine's Day and luckily the orders are now coming in.
I'd really appreciate some comments and thoughts about it all. You can visit the website here: www.theperfectsong.co.uk and see what it's all about. What we especially need help with is getting our website higher up the search engine listings. Could somebody, anybody help?
Thank you
Guy

Hi Guy,
Great idea. For getting up the search engines you need a Search Engine Optimiser (SEO). If the site is very new then it'll take some time to get anywhere with Google. Search for a member here called Tin, he'll be able to advise and quote.
The product sound spretty unique -
the downside of this being that not many people are likely to be searching for eaxactly what you are offering....
the upside is that it's ideal for PR. Thought about writing a song for Des and Mel and sending it in to them? OTher people here have had success with a similar approach.

welcome to the forum Guy, you will get some really good advise on here.
Do you really record each song afresh every time you get an order, or do you somehow dub it onto the cd? I would be interested in your childrens songs when they're ready!
good luck

i agree, the service is one of those that you dont know you want until you see it so you would not be searching
getting the right PR is the way to make this site a success

There's definely an affinity there, if you'll pardon the awful buzz word!
An ideal link up would be to promote each other after somone pays - that way you don't risk losing sales..
"A perfect compliment to your song is a personalised rose" and vice versa. I think it could work well. If Mark's not up for it, do it anyway using his affiliate scheme!

Yes, we have created a nice package of a personalised rose and a personlised love song.
The songs that Guy and his team produce are really good quality, I think he is onto a winner!
I really look forward to any new spin-offs you will create, personalised birthday tunes, wedding songs, anniversary etc
