Hi all!
I just had a questiona bout claiming use of home expenses. I am a locum pharmacist and have been told that I can claim £3 a week for use of home as office without a receipt. Is this correct? Should I be claiming it?
Also, do I need to disclose this on my P11d?
Does this need to go on my personal tax return?
Any help on this would be much appreciated!

Are you registered as a sole trader.
Then have a read of this:

You mention a P11D - so are you a limited company y taking a salary. If so then read this:

We have a few similar clients like this.

Thanks very much for your prompt reply. I work at home to take job bookings, writing up the books and other paperwork and I dont have an allocated office. I guess I just wanted to get an idea of whether locums are claiming the £3pw allowance and whether I should as well.
Also, is this taxable income?
