We're wanting to go ballistic with our PR over the next few months and despite havign a little bit of PR experience in house we have decided to eomply the services of a professional.

Thing is - I don;t really know how to a) find a suitable firm/person and b) figure out if they are any good or not!!

Any tips from those having been through the process??

Thanks,

Jonny

You need to chose someone with experience and a creative mind and on that note...may I reccomend:

Andy@ www.10yetis.co.uk

Haven't seen you around for a while (know you from shell and a few other ones) Everything going well?

Hi

You should ask about their experience and how long they have been in PR. I've known people who have 'done a course' and then set up as PR consultants.

Look for membership of a professional organisations such as the Chartered Institute of Public Relations or the Public Relations Consultants Association.

Anyway, there is a lot more information on finding a PR agency here: http://www.cipr.co.uk/direct/looking.asp?v1=finding - it gives you an idea of what to look for and how to find someone to suit you.

Hi,

I have used Andy recently to promote LinkSponsor.co.uk and so far he seems to be getting the site in the right places. I have found him professional and approachable throughout our discussion on how to 'get LinkSponsor.co.uk out there'.

Jonny,

The shop and website look great.

I've just seen a longboard I'd like (I'm an 'old' surfer), and will keep it in mind for summer.

All the best with your business.
Greg.

I wasted a small fortune by using the wrong PR firm last year. I strongly recommend you only use someone based on a personal recommendation.

I've just moved all my PR stuff over to Andy @ 10yetis. It's too early to comment on the results just yet (we've not even put out the first release), but he's had positive feedback from others and I like the way things are progrssing so far.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I think we are going to put together a bit of a wish list and then see what we come up with.
