Hi everyone, I'm Robby, a UK freelance web designer.
I found this forum through Google and am loving it so far but one question - how come some of the people I've seen here have url's in their sig yet when I try it for my sig I get a 'not allowed' message?
Also, I'm not here to just look for work (I hate it when people do that) but will of course 'bid' if required, trouble is how can I do so if I'm not allowed to post a url?
Probably silly newb questions but I'd appreciate your advice.
:)

You have to become a full member to put a URL in your signature.

Yep it's £36 a year.
Stick about a bit, this is a great forum and pretty much everyone who's a full member thinks it's worth it.
Welcome to the forum :)

Thanks everyone, I didn't join this forum to just look for work (I hate when people do that) but £36 is a bit steep for a poor guy like me so now I'm wondering how to cancel my account here?

Robbie - hang about mate, it's the best free info resource you'll find for UK small businesses IMO
If you find the £36 later, great, if not - don't lose out...

I'm new too - and also a Rob!!!
Having posted 15 times I seem able to post links now and have updated my signiture to include links to my site. I am still a free member? Should I not be doing this? Will my sig be moderated out - I've seen a couple of posts where the signiture has been deleted?

I re-read the rules and took the hyperlinks out. Have I done the right thing? Maybe I should fork out the £36. I assume its tax deductable!

£36 is worth it, but don't feel you have to make a decision til you've stuck around a bit to get the measure of the place. Yes, tax deductable :D
Put your website in your profile, then anyone can visit your homepage just by clicking on your name and choosing "visit homepage" from the menu :)

I thought you could post links after the 15 posts regardless of being a free/paid member. Paid members just get more benefits? I'm currently free but will go up to being paid once I have got used to this type of forum I think
