Hello everybody!
OK, just a thought, who of you out there have unused domain names that you may have bought for a project but then never used.
I am back in aquisition phase, so if you have any domains that you would consider selling please PM them to me.

Why do you want to buy them out of interest?

Im after a name, it has been registered to someone, there is no website up, how would I go about obtaining it? is this something you might undertake?

You could use Sedo (http://www.sedo.co.uk) or merely contact the owners yourself. Just make sure you don't mention you run a company with that name, as naturally their price will go up.

Hi Gary,
if you are talking about buying companies domains then that is only one small part of the domain industry.

BTW,
most pros avoid a high profile site like Sedo or any others as its an almost guaranteed way of telling the seller that you are prepared to pay large amounts for the domain.
To date I have sold domains ranging in prices from $'s to £££££'s, but not hit the big time yet although at last perouse I have domains worth many times that in value.

It's perfectly legitimate to buy and sell domains if your intentions are bona fide - i.e. you haven't registered a domain name with the intention of trying to extract money from someone else and the name doesn't automatically infringe someone else's trade mark.
