We are seeking possible business relationships with private landlords across Calderdale who accept Housing Benefit.

www.dssyes.com is aimed at potential tenants who claim or are entitled to claim housing benefit due to personal circumstances.

I am the creator, owner and operator of dssyes.com. I decided to start this venture due to my own problems finding suitable property after leaving the Armed Forces after 10 years. There is a certain stigma about housing benefit and yes there are problems, mainly due to the local council messing up payments but you must not tar every person with the same brush. I served 10 years in the forces and was offered no help when I resigned. I had no job, no house and definately no idea. Luckily I am now sorted but I often wish life could have been made easier for me.

Any help finding possible connections would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

The General :D

Great business idea, have experienced the same situation in the past. Unfortunately I am not a landlord in Calderdale but have you tried paying a couple of pounds on a land registry search on a few properties you have seen for rent? That will tell you who owns the house and should provide you with the telephone number. Failing that I would just print off a few glossy leaflets and go post them through the letterboxes of houses with ‘To Let’ signs.

Good luck anyway as I think you are on to a winner there :D
