Hi,

You know when you do link swaps and you put your biz name to search google, should all the linked sites come up too on google?

If they are not there, does that mean they have taken your link off their site?

Thanks

Jayne :D

Google doesn't show all links.

If you think someone has removed their link, just visit their site and see.

There is a way you can find out what links have been picked up by google by typing

link:www.clairemackaness.co.uk

into google.

You mean I type ..Link..then which ever biz i'm looking for? To make sure they haven't broken the link.

Jayne :D

Nope, you type

link:www.bowbiz.com

to see what links Google knows bout to bowbiz.com, although it wont show them all.

Jayne

No way, Big Brother is crap! I'd rather watch paint dry!

The lady doth protest too much.

So, Jayne, who did you vote for?

Jayne

Don't know who's in, only the bloke on the news pretending to be a cat, looked like a right perve. He's in bother when he comes out

It just reminded me what I wasn't missing

Right - is that why you waited until the adverts before you replied? :p

Him out of Mr Bean is on, in that silly spy movie.

I'm sick of Big Brother, you know I am, I posted to ban it! FOREVER!

Jayne, Google does not show all links which a site has established and are pointing to a particular domain for a number of reasons. If you try using Yahoo or Alltheweb.com (although Alltheweb is now owned by Yahoo) you will get a much more accurate idea of how many and from whom than Google ever shows.
However, it seems you have a grand total of 0 links... uh... oh! Don't worry as there's plenty of room for improvement when you have this many links :-) so going 'up' is the only direction available and that's a positive thing isn't it?

If you want some free advice on how to build them successfully just PM me whenever you get a sec and I'd be glad to help.

Just tried that Link thing and it was rubbish, only showed one real link and I know there is many more that are still linked.

I'll check it the way Duane said to start with and visit the sites :D

Ah.. if your domain is http://art.bowbiz.co.uk/ and not www.bowbiz.com then you've actually 3 links, 2 from this forum and 1 from Clair.

Sorry, Big Brother must have muddled my mind a bit for a sec (thank heavens there's someone else in the UK who thinks it's rubbish)

It just the bowbiz one, only had the other about two weeks, so not done much with that yet.

erm... if it's just the bowbiz then just type this into Yahoo or Alltheweb and you'll see what links you have

linkdomain:www.bowbiz.co.uk

Ray :-)
