Well to be honest neither really do it for me and your homemade site really does look that. I couldnt even get it to work in firefox :(

If you need any help it getting it cross browser compatible then let me know but I think your best bet would to pay a web dev/design comapny to make you something that really will make you shine in your industry.

I think that was uncalled for if you are inviting members to feedback on your site.

I have looked at the.co.uk and I can only see 'Summons Request' and an attempt for images to display but failed.

The one at .net looks OK, but for £1750 it might be rather expensive when you can get a website like http://www.handsonaccess.com for about £1900 and you can even manage the entire site in an easy to use CMS

Well, I was about to offer my views, but after reading the totally uncalled for savage attack on 'creospace' after you had initiated a feedback thread, I will not subject myself to the brunt of such rudeness - and I hope others will think similarly.

I assume your aggressive stance is an advert for your collection methods, in which case you look great!

But sadly it won't win any friends or help which, I had clearly offered.

The criticism of my site wasn't actually invited so I trust you will remove your comments in due course

Thank you :)

this guy is an idiot he asks for views then when he does not like it he ask like a child.
I have seen him do this before, when he grows up and learns to take constructive critisism maybe I might give me 2p's worth but until then...

Your second site doesn't work in Safari, Opera or Firefox, so is worth nothing to me as I'm unable to view it. Your first site I wouldn't have paid £10 for.

Why do you all get upset so easily ?

ebony - please tell me the previous time you recall ?

I spent a lot of time creating the site and then to be told by a web designer that it looks home made isnt what i was looking for especially when i know it doesnt !

Chill out people !

Is there something wrong with you? I though Gary was really nice with you. He even offered to help you.

Anyway, from mozilla the elitecollections.net is bland, and the other thing is just a total shambles.

I wouldn't have either of them for free, or even if you paid me to have them!

You're telling me this website (http://codingmonkeys.biz/test/Elite.jpg) doesn't look home made?

Hi Elite

I looked at your sites and I really thought the bold capitals at the start of each sentence were going to spell something.

For eg

Do contact us blah blah
Elite is our name
Blah blah
Tomorrow is another day

That kind of thing. I thought you got the message of your services across well.

Nic

ok, I guess the problem here is that some of us design websites for a living, some of us don't.

Some of us design expensive websites for a living and some of us do it rather more cheaply.

Some of us have absolutley no design skills at all, so either need to pay someone to do it for us (with varying budgets) or attempt to have a go using Front Page or similar.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that if budgets are tight, a homemade site is something we are just going to have to put up with, untill some more money comes along. So perhaps we all need to be a bit more sensitive to that possibilty.

Creospace, your reply did seem a bit harsh (although you did offer constructive critisism about browser/compatability issues and you offered to help out, which is typical of the generosity on UKBF)

Elite, you were being a tad rude, but it is easy to take these things personally (bit like someone telling you, that your baby is ugly) :D :D

Anyway, for the record, I do happen to have my own website which I designed myself (frontpage -heaven forfend!), but I am currantly having it professionally redesigned.

Have to say though, that in the currant climate, I will never ever ever show it to you, not never (even if you beg and offer me sweets!)

The first site is OK, the second is not as professional. If I was faced with the two to do business with, the first one would win hands down.

Hi

You made the same post on Sunday. See :

http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/ftopic8956.php

You got the same feedback regarding browsers and that its not possible to choose because half of us cant see the 3nd one anyway ! So as far as I can see having had a quick look again, nothing has changed since then.

I suggest you take Creospace up on his generous offer.

Best of luck

Jacqui :D

The first one looks ok - professional. The second one looks home-made and I could only see the one page (perhaps that's all that's ready now?).

Safest bet is not to ask for feedback if you're not going to accept it graciously. Are you very young?

i offer only this
I looked at both links, and preferred the first one.
Though from my point of view, i would use .com. .co.uk and .net don;t do it for me as much

Would that be because every computer had Windows Internet Explorer as the browser of choice?

You can't see the second site at all in Firefox, Safari or Opera. The first site looks okay - but seriously, 1750?? Is that right? If so then I'm afraid you've been ripped off. It's a pretty low budget effort.
