PHP Help

I am looking to learn PHP and just wanted to know which books people have found best to use. I learn best by getting stuck in with the code (it's how taught myself how to write XHTML) so any books that include some good tutorials would be useful.

Hi,

I would suggest using the PHP website.
Most books tend to be out of date very quickly.

If you are dedictaed to going down the book road, then I wouold look at something covering PHP 5 and probably on the amazon lists and showing as not gone to press. this should ensure the book you get covers the latest amendments and will not be out of date too quickly.

Hi, thanks for the links.
I have started reading the guide that is on Zend which seems pretty good. Once again I am amazed at how helpful this forum is.
