Since, I joined this board (and this is no moan about this forum) - i've had several phone calls asking for quotations. No problem there, happy to oblige.
Couple of callers have been happy enough with the over the phone prices, and have said - "I'll send you the artwork - whats your email address" - have duly responded with the email address.

I'm still waiting for the artwork from two callers - so this leads me to believe that
1) they've decided against using us - OK, understand that, not happy, but can understand the customers decision.
2) they can't be bothered to send the artwork across - in which case, why waste our respective time in the first place.
3) competitor sizing up the competition - Ok, understand that as well (after all i've done it ;) )

But what got me thinking is, is there a known ratio of calls to sales for various industries?
Does anybody know?

Hi, Your making assumptions here

There are hundreds of othe reasons why they might not have got back to you, the only way to find out is to call them back and find out. Often people simply forget or other priorities get in the way, a simple phone call may well prompt them into action,
