Just thought i'd introduce myself.

My names Tom Orr, i'm 15 years old. Currently doing my GCSE's :?

My ambition (for anyone whos into Motor Racing) is to win both MotoGP and Formula One world championships. Unfortunately motor racing is no cheap sport, so for a long time now, i have been trying to raise the funds myself. I have always been told i cant, and wont achieve this, but i love proving people wrong :D

I traded on ebay for quite a while, selling pretty much anything i could get my hands on. I think the first was wristbands. Then sunglasses. Then DVD's. Then, mobile phones and other electronics (dropshipped of course). Then paintings. The paintings lasted quite a while, i outosurced everything to China and so i could pretty much beat any price. Unfortunately, more people started to do the same thing, outsource to China. The profit margins became so small and sales so rare i decided to look elsewhere.

And thats when it all went wrong.

I got my fingers burnt.. Will someone please tell me.. how scammers are able to get hold of valid business licenses from the canadian government, business bank accounts, and be verified by credit agencies??

As a result im £5000 in debt. Now im trying to work out how im gonna pay it off.

I'm trying to use my creative side more.. think of something that no one else has done. I have a few ideas but i will probably need some funds first.

I'll see how things go.

Cheers

Tom

Hi Tom, welcome.

Sorry to hear about the scammers but they do tend to get hold of whatever they want.

Hi Tom
And welcome . . . again!

I remember your introduction from Sept. 27th:

Let me introduce my business. I will soon be launching The Racing Centre (1st October to be precise) and I need 20 businesses in the directory to launch it. Everything is explained here:

TRC is going to change motorsport. It's going to be huge, trust me on that. If you decide to take up my offer of a free ad, there is no pressure, no requirements. You don't have to sponsor anyone, you can just enjoy the free advertising .

How's that business going?

Sorry to hear of your present dilemma. Have you got any stock left that you want to offload?

Cheers, Nigel

Hi Tom,

my advice would be watch a couple of episodes of 'Only Fools & Horses',
money comes and money goes 'changing of the seasons and the tides of the sea', so keep your chin up. You need to focus on getting the debt cleared, set that as the target for your next project idea.
This will help you make it happen and acheive that first goal whilst getting more business accumin.

How about a pdf on scammers, all the info you have + a bit of research would mean near zero cost to rpoduce then try and sell to as many people on ebay as possible!.

£1 each x 10,000 sales would make you a highly respected seller and a nice profit. The fact you have sold so much already should give you a customer base and kudos in the market place.

Ask ebay for input but keep quiet what your product is. Keep it concise and I thiknk you could have a winner if noone else has done it yet!

Hope this helps

Hi tom,

Welcome, but that's a toughie! Very ambitious for your age though! that's a good thing. If you co do it then, you can do it now! I'm sure you'll think of something creative. I don't have any ideas on that one except maybe visiting John Reese's website ( a self made multi-millionare using e-bay) and get some free tips on how to work e-bay effectively.

Hi Tom,
Sorry to hear of your dilemma. My advice would be to put it all behind you and chalk it up to experience, something not many 15 year olds have. Remember, what goes around, comes around. Never look back in anger, keep focused on what lies ahead. Keep your dream alive no matter what obsticles fall in it's path. You obviously have a challenging personality, therefore you are already halfway there!

NIL DESPERANDUM! (Keeping with the Latin )

I'm doing my GCSE's next year and I'm being crushed under all the coursework as it is without the thought of having £5000 to pay off! Some people on here are very creative and helpful! Just learn how to take critisism !
