Hi,
Just been reading an article on Big Brother on AOL news, about how they are trying to get a couple together and one of them is courting on the outside. Who cares! This is not news! I read it to find out what the fuss was about.
I don't watch this tripe, why have they still got it on TV, it' is total rubbish, TV for the brain dead, anyone want to start a petition to ban it
Or do you love this, total no point to it program?
Jayne :D
let the debate begin!

I don't know about BigBrother,
but all soap operas are televised frontal lobotomy.

It's not a soap opera, it's one of those reality shows. I don't mind some soap operas at least there is bit of work and a story gone into it.

I watched an interview once with the guy who created it and his point of view was, basically, that if you don't like it that's because the show is not aimed at you.
Now, that strikes me as the ultimate marketers cop-out. Passing the blame to the consumer and belittling them in the process.
Personally, I can't watch it - I don't think it's good TV. However millions disagree with me, and that's fine - but I felt really patronised by the maker during that interview!

It's brain washing marketing that's created the big bro' popularity. If some top fashion guru said men's tights were the next big thing and a marketing did there job, I'd put money on, men wearing tights
Sheep culture!

I suppose it depends what you watch it for.
I don't mind watching some BB now and again. I find the psycho/sociological aspect quite interesting, although the current BB is pretty boring most of the time because they are all doing their best to win and wont show their true selves.
I like to watch the various factions take shape, and am always surprised to see the most unlikely alliances made.
I always find it very strange that sometimes you can start off liking someone, then after a while when you get to know them more, you can end up disliking them. At first I liked Chantelle, but now she's really starting to do my head in with her non-stop preening.
Exactly the opposite has happened with the big American black guy. I didn't like him at first, but now I think he's the most down to earth of all of them and I hope he wins.

I love the mind-numbing aspect to it. After a really stressfull, non-stop kind of day, its great to trance out infront of c**p like that :D
I couldn't care less who wins or dies (especially if I am holding a large glass of red wine in one hand  ) Long live BB!

I agree with the two Claires - it is banal but addictive and you don't have to think about what you're watching. Sometimes that's just what you need after your brain has been in absolute overdrive.
I want Chantel/le to win too - she's so dopey and lives in the next town to me so I've got to support her!!

Hi all,
Big Brother, I'm a Celebrity, Get me out of Here, Biggest Loser, America's Next Top Model, Australian Princess; switch them on and I'm there!
Those of us with diversified tastes will appreciate any type of genre or medium of enjoyment. These shows are pitched at entertainment; that's exactly what they are. They're not for trying to work out a plot, or decide out of A, B, C, or D for £125,000 (without phoning a friend).
Jayne, get a life, get that remote out and start flicking!
Cheers, Nigel

I always say i wont watch... but i do... and I love it. I love the way everyone talks about it, i like the way everyone pretends not to like it, I like the way the tabloids sneer at them but still write about them... its all great.
Trash TV rocks. :D :D :D :D :D :D

But I really don't like Big Brother, it's boring, boring, boring. I watched a bit of the jungle one, which was better, at least Ant and Dec are funny to watch after they have chucked bugs on the celebs

personally i have no time for reality TV shows like Big Brother, waste of time, life and effort. Yet ppl get hooked on that S**t.
Personally after they bought out the likes of the Aprentice, Billion dollar Rebel etc, how can the drop back to that level?
No idea, not interested, i am looking forward to next series of Sir Alan and the apprentice, come on now, wen is this starting again!

Pete is obviously a mole.
Answer me this, have you ever heard BB telling someone they should come up with a believable story before leaving the diary room?
So when they get their story straight Pete immediately askes them what the story is and BAMM!
George is a petty old man. I;'ve never voted before but I think I'll vote for george right now Grrrr!

I haven't watched TV in years - other than in hotel rooms. I'll sometimes join the family to watch a DVD, but that's about it. For news, I use the Internet.

Ironic since the charity that she was supporting by doing the show was an anti bullying one

I enjoy watching it. So what?
There are many shows I won't watch, Antiques Roadshow and soap operas amongst them :D
One of the things I like about BB is it has a well defined end, unlike the above which wobble on regurgitating the same old stuff over and over again.
Jayne
