Hi Mark,

If he's importing goods against firm customer orders from his customers I may be able to help but if he wants to fund purchases for stock that is very, very difficult at the monet

Hi Mark

If you're still looking, I may have some useful contacts for you - they've provided some novel solutions for our clients in the past, and they're based in Birmingham, so not too far for you.

Let me know if you need the details.

If you're referring to Liquidity they are busy chucking out their smaller clients since being acquired by Santander and their trade finance guy has left anyway and is about to re-emerge elsewhere

Our Debtor Finance partner has many years expercience of broking in this field -

The troublew with Bibby is that they would also want to factor the debts as well as offer the import finance and then only if the company had confirmed orders from it's customers

Bibby are not the only lender.

I am, of course well aware of the point you are trying to make. I have dealt with our partner for over 15 years and would have no hesitation in recommending them as an impartial brokerage with access and knowledge of the whole market.

From a customer's perspective advice and information are free; as long as you are open and honest with a broker you should get a good assessment of what options are available to you and of the costs.

I you choose to use our partner and find them lacking -feel free to report back on open forum!
