Hi,
I'm new to this site but thought I would mention some of the work that I have been doing, We are a UK manufacturer of LED Industrial lighting. We are working very closely with some of the major concerns in the UK and the feedback is very positive at the moment, I would like to know any thoughts or questions people have on LED lighting.
Thanks Andy

No i'm not Rob, though I have heard of them. We don't really get involved in CCTV work but I have heard that the LED's give a v.clear facial image on them ? We work mainly in the warehousing and exterior flood lighting area

They manufacture amazingly good LED and IR lights, not cheap. They supplied lighting to Vancouver this year.

Whats the highets output outdoor light you got? How many Lm? SMD leds or 5mm? What brand?

Our brightest is measured at an average of photopic lumens 6270 but we have just upgraded our LED's so this will be rising upon testing, We use SMD's and are currently using Cree although we are not ties into using them we get a lot of support from their supplier to the UK.

Customer wanted something at least 350w for cranes in port. Max one I sell is just 160w/11k Lm. Most brightest is US Betaled, 240w but its 3000 Eur  Do you have anything superbright?

Hi Andy
We sell lighting mainly to the public for domestic use. I can see several advantages of LED lighting for industrial use - the need to change the lamps very rarely and their ever increasing brightness being the main ones. And I keep preaching to customers about the future of all light bulbs will eventually be LEDs. However we meet with great resisitance due to the cost of bright ones and the dimness of more affordable ones.

This is a bit off topic, but can you see a time when say a 100W equivalent LED bulb will be available at a reasonable cost (say about £3 a unit), and if so when?
