does anyone know of a reputable registrar?

and if there is any advantage in

.jp

over

.co.jp

or if we'd be best to get both?

Hi Tom,

We used http://www.asiaregistry.com/domains/domains_jp.html?gclid=CLXrgMnj3aACFRhp4wodd3AjCw previously and they were very good.

I would buy up both domains, but .JP is just as good as co.jp - both are TLD in their own entirity.

Hope that helps.

You can just buy them from GoDaddy.
