is there away of finding out the cost or rent, rates that exising businesses are paying in your local area, theres the site that will tell you the prices houses sold for, so i was wondering if the was one for business

Nope I wouldn't have thought so. Talk to Jayne, she runs a business selling business. The best way to find out is to ask! :D!

Actually i'm not sure, never heard of this for commercial property. Some councils will give you the ratable value of a property if you give them the exact address. All I can suggest is contact Business Transfer Agents and ask how much rent etc is on similar properties in the area you want.

Maybe contact the local valuation office, they work out the ratable value of a property based on rent and size.
