I hope someone can offer some advise. Sorry in advance if this is posted in the wrong section.
We have 2 small limited companies, shareholders for both are myself and my husband.
We are looking to merge or join both companies together to have one company alone (keeping one of the current company names), but are wondering how easy it is to do this?
Year end dates are 31st July and 31st January.
Both limited companies are VAT registered and PAYE/NI.
Both companies turnover around £70K.
We had to set up the second company back in 2003 as we were awarded a DTI Smart award, and they wanted all transaction kept seperate in a new company. The Smart award ran for 2 years, and since then we have carried on trading and building up the company.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
