Connecting laptop to my network?

My daughter has a laptop which connects by wireless connection to my broadband.

How can I connect it so that the laptop can share docs with the other pcs on the network?

Depends on the file sizes. Best way would be to use Dropbox. It works over the internet so it would work anywhere in the work. When files are changed, they are uploaded to the cloud and then downloaded to all PC's which are kept in sync.

If you want to do it within a LAN, then please tell me what operating systems are being run.

The main network pcs are running XP SP3 and the laptop is on Vista.

Do you want it over Dropbox or over LAN? Dropbox is better as long as you don't use more than 2GB which is free then up to 100GB paid.
