Hi there
I note reading the basic SEO thread that you're a knowledgeable bunch on this forum - and so wanted to ask if you can clear up something for me. I was advised to move both my blogs - to my site domains (initially the Carvill On Marketing blog had it's own domain as the sole purpose was to build authority) - I was advised that the blog was performing quite well and so a friend of mine advised that I should move it to my main domain. This has now happened - and similarly I have copied this tactic in my second blog.
The sites themselves were created years ago without any SEO consideration at all plus they don't have a CMS - so I use the blogs to refresh content and share via social media platforms to encourage traction. So I'm working backwards from an SEO perspective - trying to tidy up basic SEO stuff on the sites (including site maps, permalinks and titles, headers etc) and add traction to the site via the blogs.
My question is - if I get a link back to the url http://www.carvillcreative.co.uk/blog - is that adding anything to the www.carvillcreative.co.uk site? Similarly with www.logotastic.co.uk/blog and www.logotastic.co.uk site?
Sorry to ponder what may be obvious to you - but I'd really appreciate any clarification. (And any tips too!).
Many thanks
Michelle
