Time machine

Hey all

Does anyone use Time machine on their macs to back up their work? Need to set up a back up and not sure if this is good to use or not?

Any advice would be great.

Great, so i'm guessing all i need is to buy a hard drive and set up time machine??

I use it to back up my mac, more as an insurance against hd failure rather than an archive solution.
I wouldn't use it as an archive solution as older backups get overwritten when the hard drive becomes full.
Yes just plug in the hd and set it up in Time machine :)

We use it for simplicity - it's a set and forget mechanism and anyone can restore the data if they need to. We would also recommend using it with off site backups though. Recommendations for time machine backup up disks are 3x the size of your internal HDD
