hi all
apologies, but i was not able to record the talks that took place in northampton the other day.
It was nice to meet mumper, and hotel expert face to face.
As you can imagine, the usual stuff was mentioed. Quotes used and success stories offered. The main speak er was Tom Edge
I thought it might be nice to pass on some of the things i have been reflecting on since.
I realised over the past year that i was working my butt off on several things and not getting too far with it.
As i realised just how important the business plan really was, and the dynamic to do list. I decided today was time for that change.
Putting time aside, i wrote down what i thought was going to be an extensive list of all the things i could think to do. And needed doing.
Not all business some also personal. Things i promised thw wife i would also do.
Among this were things like tidying the office, desk, contacting some potential customers. Completing the business plan etc.
The list was witten in no particular order. Then rewritten placing the most important tasks at the top. As it got confsuing, i wrote the master list, then wrote the five most important things that need doing. What i consider urgent.
Now i have completed two of these. I will continue tomorrow.
Not only does this list help with your stress levels, it also helps you to work out your weeklt, daily schedule. I personaly will now do this a day in hand. I know what needs doing, so i take the tasks as i can mamge them from the master list.
There comes born the schedule. and note again it does not all have to be business.
So far, day, one structure is now forming.
Another thing i realised as well, is if you do not carry out the above. Like a powerful truck getting too heavily burdened etc, ou will give up and crash. So instead of doing something, u are overwhelmed by it all and like a computer, crash. you therefore achieve nothing. This has been me for so long.
A few quotations we picked up as well.
"If you do what do do, the same way, everytime, you we get the same results everytime".
"The best salesperson is a delighted customer"
I did not agree with everything i heard. But overall i found it was quite interesting.
Unfortnately i left my papers in hotel experts car (he was kind enough to offer me a lift home) however he still has the documents. I am unable to read further.
