Wouldn't it be great to own a successful business? Online, offline, retail, ebiz.. etc. All to often people decided that opening a busines would be a great idea to generate some extra money, work at it full time... or even retire due to the profits. Well this is the new American dream and thousands of people are successfully doing it right now!

The Question is... Why do so many people fail? Well the answer and the most important part aside from a business plan is setting GOALS for you and your business. Both short term goals and long term goals. People need to create a bluprint for their business so that each day you go to work you begin with the end in mind. You need to set yourself parameters so when you don't see results in the begining you keep pushing for that end result.

Here are examples of some goals... "I will write 2 articles everyday", "I will devote one hour of reading each day to improve my knowledge of online marketing", "I will help someone (giving) each day with their business by giving them my time and advice"...etc...

The following are some of my favorite goal setting quotes.

“Meeting a goal takes dedication, effort and sacrifice, and all that it takes to turn a goal into a dream is TIME.” —Craig Lock

“Goals are new, forward-moving objectives. They magnetize you towards them.” —Mark Victor Hansen

“Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe and enthusiastically act upon must inevitably come to pass.” —Paul J. Meyer

“In the long run, men hit only what they aim at. Therefore, they had better aim at something high.” —Henry David Thoreau

“If you go to work on your goals, your goals will go to work on you. If you go to work on your plan, your plan will go to work on you. Whatever good things we build end up building us.” —Jim Rohn

Hope you enjoy!
Dave

Perhaps some goals you could consider are not cross posting, not having a live link in your signature, (which are for paid members), and introducing yourself as per forum etiquette.

I'll second that. This is your first ever post on this forum, so this will be seen as spam.

Interesting the word 'cross' is in this chancers username as that's exactly the emotion that has been invoked by all readers!

The link refers to the UK Businessforums membership. That is obviously allowed.
