Hi

Sorry to ask yet another question. Does anyone know of couriers who are willing to deal with ceramic and glass items? I have been looking into and and a majority of the reasonably priced ones do not seem to want to handle these parcels at all.

Thank you in advance

Try your local APC depot, the problem with these types of fragile items is they are not insurable and would have to go at your own risk. We actually carry ceramic cats for a local artist and have done for many years with only one breakage. Good packaging is the key to the success of moving these items. Hope this helps.

Go to www.apc-overnight.com (http://www.apc-overnight.com/) go to the website top left hand col find your depot.

Thank you for your reply.

What are the ballpark figures for APC services?

Thank you

Prices vary from area to area and dependant on volumes. You would need to speak with your local depot. If you are in the Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch in Dorset area you can PM me.

you may want to ask Interlink as we have not had a single breakage since we moved to them in Jan.
We do glass jars & bottles but they may have a service for fragile items
If you PM me I can get our interlink rep to contact you as she did manage to get the price right down for us.
